Class Two: Additions and Variations
Download PDF – Class Two: Additions and Variations
Materials needed:
Use the same materials as last week but add your color pencils
Black Card Stock – smooth surface – cut into 4” x 6” pieces
White Color Pencil
Pencil Sharpener
Compass or circle template – anything a bit less than 4” will do just fine – a jar lid, a small bowl
Colored Pencil Set
Practicing
Continue your black and white mandala practice, adding color pencil at the very end of your practice. Try to create one every day as a daily practice.
Responding
How did it feel to use color in your mandalas?
Did you gravitate to certain colors? If so what were the favorite colors that you used?
What associations do you have with those colors?
As you were drawing did you notice anything in the negative space, the black spaces in-between your white lines and shapes? If so what?
